Well I survived my first couple of days of being at home. We had a huge snow storm on Tuesday night and everyone was snowed in. Aubrey got to stay home with me on Wednesday. Matt and Aubrey tried playing in the snow yesterday but it didn't turn out so good. They didn't last very long, and the snow wasn't sticking together good enough to make a snowman. Plus it was super cold! I should have taken pictures, but of course I thought about it too late! I am tired of the snow, so that groundhog better be right, I am so ready for spring! I am also ready to have this baby!!! These last couple of weeks sure do suck, the baby is so low it is getting harder and harder to do things, like my recent obsession with cleaning! Anyone that knows me knows how I HATE to clean and I would rather be lazy then lift a finger, but recently I have been wanting everything clean all the time It is kind of freakin me out! The upside is my house is always clean and how can that be a bad thing, right? We will see how long it last, hopefully forever! Daytime television is not that bad, but as I watch through out the day the same stories are being commented on over and over again. My favorites right now are Regis and Kelly and Ellen. These shows are the most upbeat and fun, just like me! lol! I like funny people and positive things and Regis and Kelly and Ellen are both of those and always have good guests on. So my first week home has been filled with mostly cleaning the house, getting all the baby stuff ready and cleaning the house! I scrubbed doors yesterday people, what is wrong with me!!! I did get all of Bailey's clothes hung up and ready to go. The bedding is on the crib, just waiting for the crib sheets that have been on back order for a couple of weeks. They said this morning they have been shipped so hopefully they arrive quickly! Today I cleaned Aubrey's room. I threw away some toys that have seen better days and donating some that we just don't need. Aubrey has so many toys it is ridiculous! She has like 12 baby baby dolls!!! What kid needs 12 baby baby dolls? Not mine, so off to goodwill they go! Is it just me or does anyone else feel bad for throwing out toys or donating them after watching Toy Story 3? I know it is just a movie, but the thought is always in the back of my mind, I am such a sap! Aside from cleaning, I did get a little crafty the other day. Valentine's Day is approaching and I decided to make some valentines for Aubrey's school and a special gift for all the grandparents. I got the idea from the Family Fun website, here is the link
family fun-valentine blossoms. The website also has alot of other great ideas! I used scrap booking paper for the petals, leaves and center piece. Mine look a little busy but they still turned out pretty good if I don't say so myself! If I do them again I will probably use construction paper and scrap booking paper so they don't look so busy. Here are the pictures of the finished product:
I also made a valentine ornaments for all the grandparents. I bought the foam kit from Hobby Lobby and put a picture of Aubrey inside and decorated them with jewel heart stickers. They turned out really good and was cheaper than buying cards for everyone. I think stuff like this is better than cards anyways, a little more personal! Here are some pictures of the finished product:
Well it been a pretty good snowed in week so far. Tomorrow I hope to blog about my TV and Movie reviews, so stay tuned for that. Love you guys and God Bless!
